I hope to meet some intreasting people on here. And for those of you who have read the book lolita then let me inform you that I am not like lolita in the book but if you ask me I will be happy to explain what a lolita is in my definition.

Hi my name is Ayeshia

Ayeshia is the name i'll be 18 on June 5th, 22 days to go.(yay).
Well I'm from the US and i live in North Carolina. I heard about this website through my cousins friend and i suddenly became really interested. I definately agree that people out there today are abusing the use of drugs and alcohol. I knew someone who was addicted to drugs and I got to witness what it could do to someone. I tried every day to talk to him and to tell him that he doesn't need a drug substance to help him get by in life. I mean it got to the point to were his parents gave up on him and stopped caring about what he did with his life. Which is not something anyone should ever have to go through. I've tried everything from, taking him to church with me, to talking to him about it, to making promises, i've tried everything i could possibly think of. Well one day he told me that my friendship meant more to him than anything else and he would hate to lose me as a friend. So we made a deal, he said he was willing to seek help proffesionally only if i promised that i would still be his friend and help him along the way. I stuck around and helped in every way that i could. he hasn't yet stopped completely but he has cut down drastically. I'm so thankful for my church group and parents being so understanding and supportive of my decision to help my friend. Our goal is for him to seek professional help once school is out for summer, but till then i'm the only one he has who is willing to stick by his side and help him. if you have any advice about what else i could possibly do in the time being feel free to fill me in. Thanks

Hi my name is Victoria

Hi my name is Victoria :) I am actually turning 19 tomorrow! (yay) I live in the united states; a small town called Palatka which is in Florida. I really don't have spare time between college, student government, and part time work at Winn-Dixie (a grocery store:) But when I do have time off I like to go to the beach or hang out with my family and friends. In my hometown it's not that we have racism but you alwys hear that all the black kids go to the place and all the white kids go here. I am white and I have a lot of black friend but it kills me when I invite someone to one place and they say "oh no I wont got there thats where the blacks/white people hango out." I want to try and bring everyone together so it's not the "black hangout" or the "white spot". We also have a problem with kids abusing drugs and alcohol. At my old church we had a young high school boy bring in vodka to a Wednesday youth group session. that is just horrible. He wanted to impress some girls and the youth pastor didn't want to kick him out; he wanted to put some guidance in his life, but obviously the boy didn't learn anything because he did the same thing about two weeks later. I want to reach out to young people and show them how ignorant they are being towards their future with abusing drugs and alcohol!

hey, i just joined...

hello, my name is krystole and i just joined...
i heard there was a scholarship and got really interested with the website.
i've never heard about this website before and i was wondering if you could help me...
I understand wat your going through i'm also involved in my church and there is a student that goes to my church and also go to my school who, gets high alot he doesn't seem to care about talking about whenever he's high but when it comes to church i feel like he's always worried that i'll tell someone of what he does outside of church..
currently he hasn't been going and he is in my art class in this tech. school i'm not sure how to talk to him and we don't really talk much...
if you have any tips i would like to hear them but if not thats okay at least i got it out to someone...
i agree with the world being so ignorant towards their future with drugs and alcohol but, all we can do is hope that they would change their ways before its too late and regretting it in the end...
you have a great day and hopefully i can talk to you....
